How this map was built

Legacy United Boeing 787-9 four-cabin layout (United Polaris lie-flat business, United Premium Plus premium economy, Economy Plus extra-legroom economy, Economy). Being converted away from as the "Elevated" interior (ua-789-222) rolls out. Per-cabin split 48 Polaris / 21 Premium Plus / 39 Economy Plus / 149 Economy = 257 per the Wikipedia United fleet table. IMPORTANT — the ROW GRID IS DERIVED, not a placard scan: united.com is bot-blocked and competitor seat-map sites are prohibited. Class layouts (Polaris 1-2-1, Premium Plus 2-3-2, Economy Plus / Economy 3-3-3) plus the Polaris lie-flat 6'6" bed / 16-inch screen and Premium Plus / Economy Plus products come from United's Polaris (2016-17) and Premium Plus (2018) product releases. Row numbers, exit-row placement (Door 3, row 30), the over-wing band, furniture, and the two derived partial rows were constructed to reproduce United's published per-cabin totals and abreast layouts and may differ from the actual airframe. Derivations: Polaris rows 1-12 (48); Premium Plus rows 14-16 (3x7=21); Economy Plus rows 17-21 (rows 17-20 = 36 full, row 21 reduced to the centre triple by side galleys to reach 39); Economy rows 22-38 (rows 22-37 = 144 full, row 38 tapered to 5 centre seats to reach 149).
