How this map was built

Air New Zealand’s published legacy 787-9 map is transcribed seat-for-seat: 18 Business Premier in rows 1-6; 21 Premium Economy in rows 23-25; and 263 Economy in rows 34-65. The airline’s 2024 LOPA notice identifies nine aircraft in this 302-seat layout before retrofit work began. No current subfleet count is asserted because the conversion is in progress. Economy Skycouch is recorded only in zone and seat notes—its seats remain Economy, as requested. The six row-50 exit seats use an extra-legroom Economy seat type, so the computed summary separates them as N while preserving Air New Zealand’s published total of 263 Economy seats. The row grid and bassinet markers come directly from the current airline map; only a restrained set of monuments needed for traveler context is encoded. No 787 window grid is bound, and window alignment remains unknown for every window-position seat.
