Best & worst seats
Our rating engine's picks for this cabin layout — see any seat's full reasoning in the map above.
- 1D, 1G — The Retreat Suite has substantially more personal space, an ottoman for companion dining and a larger 27-inch screen.
- 8A, 8K — Door 2 is immediately behind this suite, so the area can be busy and cool during boarding.
- 8D, 8G — The Loft social space is immediately behind — conversation and foot traffic may be noticeable.
- 21A, 21C — Bulkhead seat — there is no under-seat storage for takeoff and landing.

Current A330neo page: nine registrations assigned to the current layout; 32 Upper Class, 46 Premium, 28 Economy Delight and 156 Economy Classic/Light seats; cabin dimensions and amenities; links to the official current and future seating-plan images.
The page also previews a 48 Upper Class / 56 Premium / 128 Economy layout without an in-service date; Virgin's Partner Hub separately states that its first aircraft will enter operation from November 2026. Current marketing uses some 'up to' dimensions and does not prove per-seat window alignment.

Official configuration-01 A330-900neo seat-map image: exact seat numbers and row geometry for the 262-seat layout; Retreat Suites, Preferred, Economy Delight and Exit Row blocks; The Loft, bassinets, exits, galleys, lavatories and closets.
The top-down schematic proves the row layout and monuments but not real window-to-seat alignment, numeric row pitch, recline restrictions or exact wing-row endpoints.

Official A330neo press kit: 2 Retreat + 30 Upper Class + 46 Premium + 184 Economy = 262; Thompson Vantage XL/Vantage First, Collins MiQ and Recaro CL3710 hardware; seat dimensions, screen sizes, power, Bluetooth, Viasat Wi-Fi and suite features.
Launch-era source is used for installed hardware and dimensions, not current fleet size. The table gives a 6 ft 6 in Retreat bed while surrounding marketing copy says 6 ft 7 in; the tabular value is encoded and the maximum claim retained in notes.

Official trade update: the refreshed 48 Upper Class / 56 Premium / 128 Economy A330neo layout will have six Retreat Suites, and the first aircraft will enter operation from November 2026 onwards.
Used only to establish that the second published A330neo layout is future rather than currently flying; it does not establish the active 262-seat row grid.

Virgin's current A330neo page groups nine registrations under the current 262-seat configuration: 32 Upper Class, 46 Premium, 28 Economy Delight and 156 Economy Classic/Light. The descriptive config.code uses published counts because the page does not state an airline-internal code; the official image filename identifies the drawing as configuration 01. The row grid is transcribed from that image. UPPER CLASS: 1-2-1 rows 1-8 are full (32); 1D/1G are the two Retreat Suites and the other 30 are standard Upper Class suites. PREMIUM: row 21 has outboard pairs A/C and H/K only (4), rows 22-27 are full 2-3-2 (42), totaling 46; Preferred blocks cover rows 22-23. ECONOMY: 2-4-2 rows 45-51 are full (56), row 52 is centre-only D/E/F/G (4), row 53 is full (8), rows 54-64 are full (88), and tapered rows 65-68 omit centre E (28), totaling 184. Economy Delight is the four outboard seats A/C/H/K in rows 54-60 (28); Preferred covers rows 46-49; the four outboard seats in row 53 are marked Exit Row. No-underseat-storage, closest-seat monument adjacency and extra-legroom ratings are structural traveler-facing interpretations of the published schematic; no unshown recline restriction is asserted. Window alignment remains unknown at window positions and no_window_seat elsewhere because the schematic does not prove window-to-seat alignment and the repository has no A330 engineering window grid. The press-kit table's exact dimensions are encoded; its separate 'up to' marketing figures are retained in seat-type notes where they differ. Virgin also publishes a 48J/56W/128Y high-premium A330neo drawing, but its Partner Hub says the first aircraft will enter operation from November 2026 onwards; that planned 232-seat configuration is not yet flying as of this verification date and is therefore excluded.
