Ryanair fleet includes 411 'B737-Next Gen' aircraft at 189 seats each (the 737-800), alongside the 737-8200 at 197 seats; all-Boeing 737 narrowbody fleet.

Ryanair operates a simple all-Boeing 737 fleet; the 737-800 (737 Next Generation) is its long-standing main type in a single-class high-density layout.

Reserved seating tiers: Extra Legroom rows 1, 16 and 17 (emergency-exit rows with occupancy requirements); 'Front' priority seats rows 2-5; standard seats elsewhere; any seat reservable for a fee or free random allocation at check-in.
Ryanair Help Centre returns HTTP 403 to automated fetches, so no local snapshot could be archived. Tier row assignments are the same fleet-wide article used for the MAX 8-200 (see fr-7m82) and are corroborated by that exemplar.

Ryanair's main fleet: ~411 Boeing 737-800 (737-NG) aircraft in an all-economy 3-3 single-class cabin, 189 slimline seats (Ryanair corporate fleet page: '411 B737-Next Gen, 189 seats'). Seats are non-reclining slimline hardware fleet-wide, so seatType recline is 'none' everywhere; no per-seat no_recline flag is repeated across 189 seats. No seatback IFE, no Wi-Fi and no in-seat power on any Ryanair aircraft - modelled as ife.type 'none', wifi.available false, power.types []. Row/seat enumeration is a STRUCTURAL INFERENCE: Ryanair does not publish a citable per-seat map and competitor seat-map sites are barred as sources. The 737-800 has the standard TWO pairs of overwing emergency exits (no extra mid-cabin exit - that is unique to the denser MAX 8-200), placed at rows 16 and 17 here from the 737-800 door geometry (window grid data/window-grids/737-800.json: forward overwing exit ~658 in, aft overwing exit ~696 in from the nose). 189 = 31 full 3-3 rows (186) + a final 3-seat row (row 32). The last row is modelled as the left-hand triple only; the rear galley and its two lavatories take the right-hand side. The three de-configured positions (32D/E/F) are inferred to reach the published total. Seat TIERS follow the Ryanair Help Centre 'Reserved Seating' article (the same fleet-wide article as the MAX 8-200): Extra Legroom = rows 1, 16, 17 (~32-34 in pitch, all emergency-exit rows with occupancy restrictions); 'Front' priority = rows 2-5 (standard hardware, sold for early boarding/disembarkation); Standard = rows 6-15 and 18-32. Any seat can also be reserved for a fee or left to free random allocation at check-in; paid_seat/preferred_zone flags are set only on the marketed premium tiers. Standard-row pitch: Ryanair markets ~30 in; independent measurements put the slimline pitch at ~28-28.5 in. Recorded as 28 in (min) / 30 in (max), approximate and unsourced pending an official figure. Structural window blank: the 737-800 window grid carries a high-confidence missing left-side window at 10A (Boeing air-conditioning riser duct, per Alaska Airlines fleet engineering); applied by scripts/window-alignment.js --apply.
What changed
- Jul 14, 2026Initial Ryanair 737-800 189-seat single-class config. Seat total and fleet from Ryanair corporate fleet page; reserved-seating tiers (rows 1/16/17 extra legroom, 2-5 front) from the Ryanair Help Centre Reserved Seating policy (page 403s to bots; tiers corroborated by the fleet-wide MAX 8-200 exemplar). Overwing-exit rows and the reduced last row derived from 737-800 door geometry and the 189 count.
