Official A380-800 seat-map PDF: per-cabin seat counts and layouts (First 8 in 1-2-1, Business 48 flatbed 1-2-1 with 180-degree recline, Economy 56 upper deck 2-4-2 + 405 main deck 3-4-3), plus pitch/width for each cabin and the positions of doors, stairwells, galleys and lavatories.
qatarairways.com blocks direct automated fetch, so the exact bytes were retrieved from the Wayback Machine (snapshot 20230522171926) and archived. The accommodation tables give exact counts and dimensions; the low-resolution LOPA drawing renders a few more seats than stated (52 Business, ~410 main Economy) so exact row numbers, monument rows and the tapered/partial rows were reconstructed to reconcile the published 48 Business / 405 main-deck counts (AUTHORING 5b).

Qatar Airways fleet table (as of November 2025): 8 Airbus A380-800 in service, configured 8 First / 48 Business / 461 Economy = 517, citing the official Qatar Airways A380 seat-map PDF.

FLEET STATUS (verified July 2026): Qatar Airways still operates the A380 — the type is NOT retired. Its eight active A380s were grounded at Doha (Hamad Intl) roughly mid-April to mid-June 2026 (weak demand, high fuel cost and Middle-East airspace constraints), after which about half the sub-fleet returned to scheduled service (London Heathrow, Paris CDG, Bangkok). Qatar has announced no retirement date and keeps the A380 flying largely because of Boeing 777X delays; A380 frequencies are being trimmed (e.g. Guangzhou dropped for winter 2026/27). Status per July-2026 travel/industry press (ch-aviation, One Mile at a Time, Paddle Your Own Kanoo, Mighty Travels); fleet-in-service count (8) per the Wikipedia fleet table. PUBLISHED (official Qatar Airways A380-800 seat-map PDF accommodation tables): total 517 = 8 First + 48 Business + 461 Economy (56 on the upper deck + 405 on the main deck). Upper deck — First 8 seats, 90 in pitch, 23 in width; Business 48 flatbed seats with 180-degree recline, 51-52 in pitch, 22 in width; Economy 56 seats, 31/32 in pitch, 16.9/18.5 in width. Main deck — Economy 405 seats, 31/32 in pitch, 16.9/18.5 in width. Personal TV with Audio Video onDemand (AVOD) at every seat; complimentary meals; OnAir GSM / wifi; bassinets available. First and Business are 1-2-1; upper-deck Economy is 2-4-2; main-deck Economy is 3-4-3. LAYOUT PROVENANCE mixed / CONFLICTING PRIMARY SOURCES (AUTHORING 5b): the PDF supplies exact per-cabin counts, cabin layouts and all dimensions, and shows the positions of doors, stairwells, galleys and lavatories, but its low-resolution LOPA drawing renders slightly MORE seats than the airline states — the Business drawing shows 13 rows (10-22 => 52 seats) and the main-deck drawing shows ~410 couch positions, whereas the PDF accommodation table (and the independent Wikipedia fleet table: 8F/48J/461Y = 517) state 48 Business and 405 main-deck Economy. Per the numeric-count-wins tie-break, the grid is reconciled to the published counts: Business is modelled as 12 rows (10-21) of 1-2-1 = 48, and the main deck is reconciled to 405. DERIVED grid: exact row numbers, monument rows, the over-wing band and the tapered/partial rows are structural reconstructions that reconcile to the published counts. Upper-deck Economy (56) is faithful: centre D-E-F-G spans rows 25-32 (32 seats) and the side pairs A-B / J-K appear only at rows 25-28 and 30-31 (24 seats). Main-deck Economy (405): 3-4-3 with the forward staircase occupying the centre at rows 40-42, centre galley/monument gaps at rows 50 and 75-76, side galleys at row 74 (centre-only there). To reconcile the drawing (~410) to the published 405, row 67 centre is modelled 3-abreast (leftmost D omitted, matching the offset couch on the map) and the two aftmost rows 82-83 are modelled 2-4-2 with the window seats (A,K) omitted at the fuselage taper. windowAlignment is left unknown on all window seats (no A380 window grid available); windowGridType is omitted.
