Provenance

Sources

Every measurement and claim on this page traces back to one of these. Last verified Jul 20, 2026.

  • NeosPRIMARY SOURCERetrieved Jul 20, 2026

Neos lists six current 787-9 registrations, identifies the variant and publishes a current capacity of 355 passengers while embedding the airline seat drawing.

The embedded drawing itself contains 359 seat glyphs; the explicit 355-passenger specification is treated as the stronger current count.

  • NeosPRIMARY SOURCERetrieved Jul 20, 2026

Neos repeatedly publishes 355 seats split as 28 Premium in 2-3-2 and 327 Economy in 3-3-3, including 36 Economy Extra Plus and 18 Economy Extra; it also publishes cabin pitch, width, recline, screen and power specifications and the product features used here.

The page's introductory text and detailed cabin descriptions say 327 Economy, while one summary-table cell still says 331. Under the authoring tie-break, the repeated explicit 327 count and 355 fleet total win; the stale 331 cell agrees with the linked older drawing.

  • NeosPRIMARY SOURCERetrieved Jul 20, 2026

The airline-published 787-9 drawing labels Premium rows 1-4, Economy Extra Plus rows 5-8, Economy Extra rows 9 and 30, and the remaining Economy rows through 44; it draws 28 Premium and 331 Economy seats (359 total), including partial rows 29, 43 and 44.

The drawing conflicts with Neos's current repeated 355-seat / 327-Economy numeric specification. SeatRecon preserves its labels and all geometry except for a documented four-seat count reconciliation at row 43.

How this map was built

Neos's current fleet and cabin pages repeatedly publish 355 total seats: 28 Premium and 327 Economy, of which 36 are Economy Extra Plus and 18 Economy Extra. CONFLICTING PRIMARY DRAWING: the linked lopa_787_01.jpg instead draws 28 Premium plus 331 Economy (359 total): 35 full nine-abreast Economy rows, six seats at row 29, seven at row 43 and three at row 44. Per the primary-source tie-break, explicit numeric counts win. SeatRecon preserves the drawing's published row numbers, letters, product-zone positions and every row shape except row 43; row 43 retains its published centre D/E/G block and omits the drawing's four outboard seats to reconcile exactly 327 Economy. This four-seat placement is derived and makes provenance mixed. The 36 Economy Extra Plus seats remain a contiguous paid zone within Economy, not a fabricated separate cabin. No exact 787-9 engineering window grid exists in the corpus, so window alignment remains unknown.

What changed

  1. Jul 20, 2026Initial Neos 787-9 355-seat configuration; reconciled the stale 359-seat drawing to Neos's current explicit 28 Premium / 327 Economy count.
