No window at seat 36A — Boeing routes the air-conditioning riser ducts up the left sidewall from the belly A/C packs to the ceiling distribution ducts, forward of the wing. The duct behind the sidewall panel displaces one left-side cabin window. Per Alaska fleet engineering this is standard on all 737 aircraft. Current official fleet catalog lists six Boeing 737-800 configurations: 158 (8 Business), 170 (8 Business), 164 (8 Business), 189, 186, and 179 and links the corresponding official configuration drawings.

Each drawing says it is for reference purposes and the actual flight controls; the instances therefore set config.representative=true.

Official layout-3 drawing header states 8 Business / 156 Economy = 164 and shows the cabin geometry, exits and monuments.

The glyph grid draws 162 Economy seats through row 57, six more than its own explicit 156-seat header and the live fleet table. Numeric counts control; the trailing row 57 is omitted and the Economy grid is marked derived.

How this map was built

Hainan’s live fleet table and the header of its official layout-3 drawing state 8 Business / 156 Economy = 164. The same drawing visibly contains 27 full Economy glyph rows 31-57 (162 Economy), exactly one six-seat row too many and identical to the separate 170-seat drawing. Per AUTHORING §5b, explicit numeric counts win: rows 31-56 are retained as 26 full 3-3 rows (156), and the trailing drawn row 57 is omitted as the excess copied row. Business rows 1-2 and the remaining row/exit geometry come from the drawing; the Economy cabin is derived and layoutProvenance is mixed. windowGridType binds the exact 737-800 engineering grid.
