Best & worst seats
Our rating engine's picks for this cabin layout — see any seat's full reasoning in the map above.
- 2A, 2C, 2D, 2F — UpFront Plus: front-of-cabin seat with extra legroom and a guaranteed empty middle seat beside you.
- 3A, 3B — Stretch seating: several inches more legroom than a standard Frontier seat.
- 1B, 1E, 2B, 2E — Not sold: this is the guaranteed empty middle seat of UpFront Plus (row 1-2). It stays empty so the window/aisle passengers get more elbow room.

Dec 2024 'New Frontier' announcement: First Class ('luxurious, spacious seats in the first two rows of the aircraft') debuting late 2025/2026, on top of the existing UpFront Plus empty-middle product. Establishes First Class as a PENDING addition, not yet installed.

Frontier A321neo configured with 240 passengers, all-economy 3-3; ~62 A321neo in service; First Class (Geven, 2x2) being rolled out in 2026; pitch cited as 30-32".

CURRENT flying configuration as of the July 2026 verification. All-economy, 3-3, 41 seat rows. Frontier's official diagram is titled "AIRBUS A321 (240 seats)". Enumerated here as 243 physical seat positions: 41 rows of 3-3 (246) minus three door/taper gaps at 28F, 29A and 41C. Of the 243, the four UpFront Plus middle seats (1B, 1E, 2B, 2E) are physically installed but permanently blocked ('guaranteed empty middle'), leaving 239 bookable. The published '240' does not reconcile exactly with the airline's own diagram (a marketing-vs-diagram imprecision); see the schema-feedback discussion on installed-vs-sellable counts. PENDING CHANGE: Frontier announced (Dec 2024) a 2x2 First Class in the first two rows, seats by Geven, rolling out through spring 2026. As of this verification the official A321neo diagram still shows no First Class; when First Class is installed it will be a separate config (fewer total seats, rows 1-2 become 2-2 First). Model that as a new retrofit_target document.

First Class 2x2 (Geven) announced for the first two rows and rolling out through spring 2026 is NOT yet on the diagram — recorded as a pending change; model as a separate config when installed.
