Current 787-9 page publishes one 278-seat configuration (26 Royal Laurel / 28 Premium Economy / 224 Economy), 44 in Royal Laurel pitch with 76 in bed length, 42 in Premium Economy pitch, 31-33 in Economy pitch, a single 278-seat map option, and No Window View Seats 72A/72K.

Official 278-seat 787-9 map image: exact cabin row numbers and seat letters, partial rows, skipped row numbers, bassinets, exit seats, exits, galleys, standard and accessible lavatories.

Exact EVA image bytes were fetched through Google Translate's image proxy after direct EVA retrieval was blocked. The schematic supports the row grid and monuments but is not to scale and does not prove ordinary window alignment.

Q2 2026 Fleet Facts lists all nine 787-9 aircraft under the sole 278-seat, three-class split C26/PE28/Y224, supporting exclusion of the former 304-seat layout from current configs.

How this map was built

EVA Air's current 787-9 page publishes one map button, labeled 278 seats: 26 Royal Laurel Class / 28 Premium Economy / 224 Economy. EVA's Q2 2026 Fleet Facts assigns all nine in-service 787-9s to this 278-seat three-class layout; the prior 304-seat two-class layout is therefore not emitted as a currently flying config. The exact row grid and monument placements are transcribed from EVA's published map. Royal Laurel totals 26 seats: row 1 has 1A/1K only and rows 2, 3 and 5-8 are full 1-2-1 rows (2 + 6 x 4 = 26). Premium Economy is four full 2-3-2 rows 20-23 (4 x 7 = 28). Economy totals 224 seats: rows 45-55 are full 3-3-3 (11 x 9 = 99); row 60 has centre 60D/E/G (3); rows 61-73 are full (13 x 9 = 117); and row 74 has 74D/E/G plus 74H/J (5), for 99 + 3 + 117 + 5 = 224. EVA colours the six row-61 outboard seats as Exit Seats but publishes no separate extra-legroom tier or pitch override, so they remain standard Economy. EVA explicitly identifies 72A and 72K as No Window View Seats; only those receive evidence-backed windowAlignment none. All other window positions remain unknown because the schematic is not to scale and the corpus has no Boeing 787 window grid. The map omits row numbers 4, 9-19, 24-44 and 56-59. Ratings are restrained: ordinary positions and exit-row positions remain standard, while only explicit no-window seats and seats immediately adjacent to mapped lavatories or galleys are be_aware.
