  • Ethiopian AirlinesPRIMARY SOURCERetrieved Jul 17, 2026

    Current commercial-fleet page lists 20 Boeing 787-8s and 10 Boeing 787-9s; it publishes 24 Cloud Nine / 246 Economy / 270 total for the 787-8 and 30 Cloud Nine / 285 Economy / 315 total for the 787-9.

The page's short tail-number lists are visibly incomplete relative to its fleet totals, so they are not treated as complete applicability lists; the explicit numeric accommodations control over conflicting seat-map landing-page prose.

Current official ET-AUO-family entry publishes 30 Cloud Nine / 285 Economy and says the 787-9 family is used on long-haul routes to Asia, Europe and the Americas.

The page publishes counts and links the drawing but does not print passenger row numbers, seat letters, dimensions or a tail-family applicability list.

Official ET-AUO-family 787-9 drawing: five 2-2-2 Cloud Nine rows, two 3-3-3 Economy sections, a six-seat block beside the Door 3 service area, and four door pairs with cabin monuments.

The image has no passenger row numbers, seat letters, dimensions or window-position key. Row identifiers, column letters and exact door anchors are derived; the visible blocks reconcile to the published 30/285 totals.

Current official ET-AXS-family entry explicitly publishes 30 Cloud Nine / 285 Economy, calls AXS equivalent to AUO, and describes full-flat Business seating with personal IFE screens.

Its linked drawing conflicts with the equivalence claim by showing a staggered/direct-aisle 1-2-1 premium grid rather than AUO's 2-2-2 grid; it has no passenger row numbers or applicability list.

  • Ethiopian AirlinesPRIMARY SOURCERetrieved Jul 17, 2026

    Official alternate ET-AXS-family 787-9 drawing shows 30 premium seats in a staggered/direct-aisle 1-2-1 geometry and a 3-3-3 Economy cabin.

The image has no passenger row numbers or seat letters and conflicts with the landing page's claim that AXS mirrors AUO. It documents a blocked same-count physical alternate; it is not merged into the AUO representative grid.

How this map was built

Ethiopian's current corporate fleet page and current AUO/AXS seat-map pages publish 30 Cloud Nine / 285 Economy = 315 seats. The AUO-family published drawing supplies the representative grid used here: five full 2-2-2 Cloud Nine rows (30); 16 full 3-3-3 Economy rows plus a six-seat center/right block forward of Door 3 (150); and 15 full rows aft (135). Because the image prints no passenger row numbers or seat letters, rows 1-5 and 11-42, letters A/C-D/G-H/K and A/B/C-D/E/F-H/J/K, the six-seat row's exact letters, and all door row anchors are DERIVED; cabins, rows and furniture are marked accordingly. The AXS landing page says it mirrors AUO and has the same counts, but its linked official drawing visibly shows a staggered/direct-aisle 1-2-1 Cloud Nine cabin rather than AUO's 2-2-2 cabin. With no published seat-number key or tail-family applicability list and only one requested seat-count identity, that same-count physical alternate is documented but BLOCKED as a separate exact numbered instance rather than fabricated. Exact window alignment, dimensions, bassinets, limited-recline seats and monument-adjacency ratings are not established and are omitted or left unknown.
