How this map was built

Two-class (high-density) China Southern Boeing 787-9, fleet-tracking code 78C. PER-CABIN COUNTS AND DIMENSIONS ARE PUBLISHED/PRIMARY: China Southern's official cabin-layout page (csair.com, retrieved via the 2024-06-15 Wayback snapshot) lists 28 Business (45" pitch, 20–23" width, 180° lie-flat recline, 16" TV) / 269 Economy (32"/16–17"/6" recline/12" TV), both with AC power + USB, total 297 — NO Premium Economy cabin. The Wikipedia China Southern fleet table (neutral) corroborates a 28J/269Y=297 (78C) 787-9 config and cites the same csair.com page. THE ASSIGNMENT HINT (1 config ~28J/24W/245Y) IS SUPERSEDED: the airline publishes TWO distinct 787-9 configs — this two-class 78C 297-seater and a three-class 78Z 276-seater (cz-789-276). LAYOUT DERIVED_FROM_COUNTS: the csair map is a reference image only, so the row grid, door/exit positions, over-wing band and the tapered last Economy row are structural reconstructions from the published counts + abreast layouts; every cabin carries derived:true. DERIVATIONS: Business 1-2-1 rows 1-7 (7×4=28); Economy 3-3-3 rows 10-39 — bulkhead row 10, over-wing exit row 20, 29 full 9-abreast rows (261) plus a tapered last row 39 (drops the J window pair to 8 seats) to reach 269. Doors (1 fwd, 2 behind Business, 3 over-wing, 4 aft), galleys/lavatories and the wing band are derived. windowAlignment is left 'unknown' for window seats because the grid is derived (no 787 window grid exists, so windowGridType is omitted). China Southern operates 21 787-9s split between the 78Z and 78C configs; the per-config airframe count is not published.
